Recipes
Those who Live Primal know that the best way to get the good fuel you need is to gather and cook it yourself.
Not all of us are Julia Childs, but you don’t need to be. In fact, her recipes probably wouldn’t fit the Live Primal lifestyle anyway.
This site contains numerous primal recipes for you to experiment with and enjoy. In fact, you can download an entire PDF stocked full of great fuel lists and recipes!

How are butter and lard not good??
By Live Primal, August 4, 2009 @ 4:37 pm
Great questions! And here some basic answers.
Butter is not on our primal list because dairy is not on our list. See our Forget Milk article for details.
Why lard is not on our primal list is a bit more complex. The lard that you find in the grocery stores is made from factory pigs, is hydrogenated, and often has other additives (bleach, deordorants, emulsifiers, BHT, etc.). This is not exactly primal. However, lard in its purest form (good pig fat) would probably make the list. Yet, most folks do not make their own lard (although we did find a make it yourself recipe). So if you make the lard or know exactly what was added to it, then we’d agree that it’s good.
